Renovating, raking, shoveling, mowing, filling dumpsters and recyling bins
Here's a glimpse at the two houses we've been clearing out and preparing to renovate as well as the large yards we have been mowing, raking and cutting and trimming trees out of.

a few old treasures like this antique were ruined or nearly ruined by the leaky roofs
a couple of good helpers here!

I love the door!
You sure have a lot of work ahead of you but the reward will be well worth it! Find any scary bugs yet?
@Donna7 - We set off bug bombs to kill most of the scary bugs. It did a pretty good job but I did spray some hornet nests Friday that were pulsating with yellowjackets.
EEEEEEEEEK! I'd come help after the bugs were bombed away! :)
I can't imagine all the work that needs done - the "after" pictures will be exciting to see!
I love this last picture, kind of a modern of the classic of the couple! Good helpers cannot be beat!!!
I cannot wait to see what you do when the homes come down! Does the local fire departments come and burn them to the ground for you? That seems to be the norm around here!
@suzyQ_darnit - Yes the after pics will be something to behold. We hope to turn these into two nice places for a young family or an older couple to live. We've filled two 6 yard dumpsters so far and have a lot more ripping out to do but we are getting to the point that it is less disgusting now!
@firefighterswife - We are hoping to renovate them not tear down. But we will be tearing the red one down to stud wall and have a lot of work to do to make them liveable places. We thought at first that we would have to tear the red one down but after hauling the junk out of it it looks possible to fix.
Yes the last one is a pose reminiscent of a classic painting!
@Donna7 - Oh great!!! I'll let you know when! tee hee hee. Just kidding of course.
@sloggy - I'll get my work clothe ready! :)
Renovating is a lot of work but it's always nice once you are able to finally begin seeing the fruits of your labor!
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. I can't wait to see the progress and the finished homes.
Oh! Lots of work ahead!
@Donkey_Guy_10 - Hard work ahead!! That's so true.
@GrannyHappyNanny - Every bit of progress is heartening to us and we spend lots of time anticiapating the results too@TheCheshireGrins - yes it's going to be worth it all!!!!
